Self-service concrete fueling station revolutionizes small construction projects

This Fliegl solution introduces the concept of an "automated concrete fueling station", with smart technology and user autonomy, speeding up processes and reducing costs on small and medium-sized projects.
Fliegl's BTS concrete fueling station
Fliegl Baukom presents the innovative BTS, a mobile concrete mixing station ideal for small and medium-sized projects, renovations, and private builds. The proposal brings convenience and efficiency: self-sufficiency in fresh concrete production, with no need for operators or large crews.
How it works
BTS stands for the German word "Betontankstelle", which can be translated literally as "Beton" (concrete) and "Tankstelle" (fueling station, like a gas station).
- Customer or debit card: after registering, the user receives a card with a PIN and chooses the type and amount of concrete directly at the station.
- Operating mode: simply park the vehicle under the conveyor belt, insert the card, select the concrete, and wait. The system prepares the fresh batch automatically, with a process of about 1 minute and full loading in up to 3 minutes.
Advantages
- Speed and convenience: no need for advance orders, paperwork, or long waits.
- Resource savings: operator-free operation, automatic daily cleaning, and digital management connected to the central system.
- Flexibility: batch production between 0.15 m³ and up to 10 m³, with mixes calibrated between 15 and 25 m³ per hour.
Available concrete types
The 10 concrete types (C12/15 and C20/25, standard and with retardant) meet varied requirements, from lightweight foundations to finishes with extended working time (from 1 to more than 3 hours).
Applications
The solution is recommended for:
- Gardening, landscaping, and light civil construction projects;
- Setting curbs, posts, and light platforms;
- Foundation projects and non-structural elements.
It is ideal for users who have a vehicle and do not require heavy structural concrete.
Successful deployment
At the BTS station in Cham, more than 1,000 m³ of concrete were delivered in the first 6 months after installation. Another example is in Kastl, at the Fliegl Agro-Center, serving gardeners, fence builders, and self-employed professionals.
Technology and support
The station is connected to a server, enabling remote control, mix recipe adjustments, and monitoring of moisture and cement level. Fliegl also offers technical support via its network and an online portal for parts and assistance.
Among the technical specs, C12/15 concrete (up to 8 mm aggregate, F1, XO) suits lightweight foundations, curbs, and posts, with a working time of 1 to 2 hours. C20/25 covers the same applications with greater strength. The retardant versions (VZ) extend the working time to more than 3 hours.
Conclusion
Fliegl's BTS concrete station represents a practical, sustainable, and modern solution: it lets small builders and independent users access fresh concrete with autonomy, without facing complex logistics, waits, or waste, delivering speed and quality on the job.
